We are back home in WA and it's not warm and green as it was in New Zealand but it's not wintery either. But weather wasn't actually a big adjustment for me. We feel like we came back home with a completely different child. She is so busy and more mobile now and gets busier every day 😅. So the past few days we were busy cleaning the house as she constantly finds every little crumble on the floor. We are also in the process of childproofing our place and sleep training Zoey. The past two months we spent in very small spaces(van or tent) where she was never more than couple feet away from us and she also slept with us in our van bed. So now it is a big adjustment for her and she has a little bit of separation anxiety whenever we leave her alone in the room for a minute, and now she is also back sleeping in her own bed. So we have few things to figure out but for now I am just enjoying to be back home and just being mom. We took this picture about a year ago when I was pregnant with Zoey and we were excited and scared to be parents. We wanted to keep traveling and adventuring and the past year proved that it's possible. #adventurefamily PC @moonmountainman
After spending 2 months in New Zealand with little to no access to the internet and now being home with blazing fast internet at my figure tips, I just realized how much that wealth of information makes me lose focus on my life. Being reintroduced to the internet in such a brutally abrupt way is what I would imagine being reintroduce to a drug would feel like after going without it for a long period of time. Focus and clarity of life and it’s tasks is now all a blur with my attention jumping from one thing to another as I work, plan, read new, learning new skills, do research, respond to emails, see what others are doing etc... perhaps before I left I had some time management skills and control on my mind but those parts of my mind seem to have weakened and now I find myself longing to escapes back to the mountains where the internet doesn’t exist and my life just is.... but I’ve to got get some work done first, so back to work and exercising control of my attention.

The first time I saw this exceptional structure was in a photo by @kilianschoenberger back in 2014. I was living in the US and could’t believe that places like this ought to exist in my boring little Germany. I was inspired. After moving back home I started a quest to find and capture beauty within the borders of my own country - and I succeeded. I believe every county in this world has more beauty to offer than we think, in some places you just have to search a little harder. NOTE 🚷: this bridge is very unstable and at risk of collapsing, therefore it’s been closed off to the public. It’s now being renovated and I strongly advice to not cross it until renovation work is finished.

Ice climbing at Johnston Canyon in Banff, Alberta. ----- Getting out there and enjoying the cold weather is possible. Ice climbing is such an incredible way to stay warm and take in the amazing scenery that Alberta has to offer. This is definitely one of my favourite places in the world. ----- #travelalberta #explorecanada
