My first attempt at my Mom’s enchiladas recipe, with only cheese and onions, all from scratch! The sauce was close but not quite there. Since I was little it’s usually been the traditional meal she’s made for my bday celebrations sooo maybe I’ll be happy to never perfect it😆
Congrats to Matt and Brittnee on getting married yesterday! It was great catching up with so many friends but realized today I took zero pictures with any of them 🤦♂️
Merry Christmas everyone! A little late sharing as we threw a small surprise 40th wedding anniversary party for our parents over the weekend. My sister’s neighbor basically ruined it😂as mom explains in the vid(no one told him it was a surprise) but they had a great time. And spent a great Christmas with family. I was thinking how I’ve never missed a Christmas with them and thought how fortunate that is to be true:) Hope it’s been great for all of you as well!
This little one passed away nearly a month ago. She really was one of the sweetest (to people) and most talkative cats you could ever meet and she is missed dearly. Sophie was a rescue, rescued by my close friends while we lived together years ago, when she was a kitten and who provided her a great home for so many years. I adopted her for what turned out to be the last couple of years of her life. (They got to say goodbye to her before she passed) I believe she shared a lot of traits of other rescues and as I’ve gotten older I’ve seen more and more examples of generous people that rescue, foster, volunteer their time at shelters and who donate to shelters and causes that help animals. And that is mostly what this post is about to say thank you to all those that fall within the above, as I know that many of my friends on here have done those thoughtful things that have played a part in finding good homes for pets like Sophie :) I try to give when I can and I made a donation in Sophie’s name to the Front Street Animal Shelter in hopes that it helps in the goal for some people to feel the same added joy that she brought to my life.
Basically for the first time ever my niece is acknowledging me in person. I got a high-five and a picture 😂
As I walked in to the polling place to vote a lady stopped me and asked if I was in the primary. She saw the confusion on my face as I thought I misheard her and she asked again and then realizing she meant if I was a candidate I laughed and said no but i told her I get that all the time in the military where people think I’m more important than I really am😂 -No need to call me sir-Must be the hair
