François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of Kering, at @copenhagenfashionsummit : “Thanks to its business model, the luxury industry has the means to play a crucial role in sustainability. I want our innovative solutions to be open source for the whole industry to implement.”
Congratulations #EvaKruse and @copenhagenfashionsummit on the 10th anniversary! Proud to see how one of the most important events on sustainability in fashion keeps the conversation so relevant. This year’s Summit's CEO Agenda highlights 8 core priorities for fashion leaders: supply chain traceability, combating climate change, sustainable materials, circular fashion system, efficient use of water, energy and chemicals, respectful and secure work environments, promotion for better wage system and the 4th industrial revolution. Go Eva!!!!
I did not teach my daughter to hug and kiss trees, and it’s quite shocking to me that this 19 months old little person feels and expresses that way from this early age...🌳🌍🌎🌏 Just FYI: Forests cover about 30 % of the planet's land mass, but humans are cutting them down, clearing these essential habitats on a massive scale. Trees 🌳 are disappearing at an alarming rate. Between 1990 and 2019, the world lost over 550,000 square miles (1.4 million square kilometers) of forest, according to the World Bank—an area larger than South Africa. Please share Tree paper alternatives, as many as you know! We are working on a project now and I’ll personally reach out to the one who comes up with the best option/idea/info/technology! 👩🏻💻
