I’m about to share a super painful story, Kay? Last summer I hit a low point. In my health, in my mindset, in my passion for life. Im not lying when I say that at least once a month a customer, a complete stranger, would ask me how far along in pregnancy I was. When’s the baby due? Is it your first? I thought it was a fluke at first, but people kept asking. Y’all- I wasn’t pregnant. I can’t even tell you how many times I cried from the words of these strangers. At work, in a bathroom, in Anthony’s arms. It was soul crushing to know I had let my health slip to that point. I tried so desperately to make a change. I’d eat as little as I could...until we made tacos for dinner and I binged all night. I tried to workout...until I was too “busy” to go to the gym or I wanted to socialize instead. So I covered myself in the baggiest clothing I could find and hid the pain. I made jokes about my weight and eating habits instead. Meanwhile, I was following a health and fitness coach I found on Instagram-I stumbled across her page randomly and followed her daily. When she announced the launch of a new program that was coming out and that she was opening a test group I knew it was then or never. I didn’t have the money at the time. The sign up fee was less than my cell phone bill but I was working paycheck to paycheck. So I opened a credit card to charge it. And thank freaking god I did. The months that followed changed my life. I lost 20 lbs. I grew confidence. I worked alongside an incredible group of women. I claimed back my soul. Now I want to offer the same opportunity to you. I have a test group for a brand new 100 day workout program. I’m committing to let 100 workouts change my life once again. The question is—are you ready to let them change yours?

Grateful for where I’m at, excited about where I’m going. . . I tend not to recognize and appreciate my life when there’s chaos at home and life isn’t going the way that I plan and though it would be. Instead of focusing on the bad and negative, I need to switch my mindset to what I have is good. What I have in front of me and around me is good. Health, house, family, marriage, friendships, healthy happy kids and all the stability I didn’t have when I was a lil child. Lately I’ve been receiving DM’s about being single at 30(+) and the frustration of not being able to find “the one”. Even though they seem to have it all like a great career, financially stable, health etc... the one thing I can see that’s missing is simply, gratitude. It doesn’t take much to tell yourself and your partner how grateful you are. Having gratitude, strengthens our emotions , develops our personalities , increases our self esteem, makes us less self centred and welp, opens us up to possibilities we thought could never be. Well, we are in middle of winters and a whole lot of us are finding ourselves clouded with lack of motivation, comparing our lives with others and jealousy, etc. ~~ I decided to break that cycle today and write down 10 things that I am grateful for this morning: ~~ 1. I get to give a presentation today at a topic of my expertise at a local meetup 2. I get to connect with new people at the meetup 🤝 3. I am a contractor so I get to earn money by turning up at work... all contractors can relate here...no paid sick days and don’t get paid for public holidays 😔 4. I am wearing my new jacket from zara today which I am absolutely loving 🥰 5. I slept for 9 hours last night 😴 6. I still have my job so I can afford to my pay my mortgage instalment today 7. I can afford to buy my lunch today 😻 8. Its cold and wet but when I get home in the evening, I get to light up candles in every room and take a hot shower 🚿 9. Well my train is on time... how awesome is that for Welly 😂 10. Lastly but most importantly... my payday is only 10 days away 🙌 ~~ Please don’t use any of these points to compare my life with yours... as that defeats the purpose of practicing Gratitude. ~~ I woke up with a shitty attitude this morning but 2 hours later I feel better about my life 😺 ~~ Don’t be mistaken tho, I can list out 20 things that are not working for me in my life right now but instead of getting stuck in that negativity, I am choosing to stay positive by focusing on things that are working 🙏

I love my life. I can state that easily now because I learned to appreciate all that I have. It is so easy to want more. I want a better job, a new car, bigger house, more money, more travel.... the list goes on. How often do we actually sit down and look at all the amazing things we have in our lives? Rarely After including a gratitude journal practice into my life, I had to take a look at my life and realize I have so much to be grateful for. Everyone should implement a gratitude practice in my opinion. It helps you focus on the positive aspects of your life but also appreciate when good things happen. People have a tendency to not even realize the good things that come into their lives because we always focus on what is wrong. Been there done that 🖐🏽 How does it feel to have that great job you’ve always wanted? Well let me guess you have already found so many things you don’t like about it. There’s nothing to be ashamed of we all do it. If we don’t change how we see our lives we’ll keep wishing and wanting more things that we think will make us happy. It is normal to want more but take a moment to appreciate what you have because 5 years ago you were wishing for it. Before seeking a new job, take an honest look at your mindset and the reason why you want a new job. How do you practice gratitude? When I worked a 9 - 5 I hated Monday, I mean I really hated it! I have no idea why, I think it's just the story we tell ourselves when we are living for the weekend.
